Work orders

Multiple quantities of a kit can be manufactured

Uses a multi-action process: commit, start, finish

Partial quantities can be committed, started or finished

Each action taken on a workorder (commit, start, finish) records date, quantity and user

Unlimited quantity of actions can be performed by multiple users on the same work order

Any action performed on a work order can be reversed (removed)

Either current or prior versions of a kit can be manufactured

Separate stocking and component warehouses: build from one into another

Job and/or Sales Order link to each work order

Special builds - items can be added/subtracted from a work order

Can be requested by one user, built by another

Free-text memo can be entered for each workorder

Kits can be broken down (reverse built) into their constituent components

Multiples of a kit can be broken down at once

Test build facility reporting quantities short

Repairs

Provide historical record of failures with symptoms and report

Repairs can be assigned to a Job, Serial# and original work order #

Can be flagged as being repaired under warranty

Parts for repairs automatically removed from stock at current cost

Total cost of repair is calculated and displayed

Uses a two-phase process: entry and repair
